Thomas has been in the jewellery industry since the age of 16. From the start of his journey in the industry, the goal hasn’t changed; to set out and provide a personable service to clients whilst offering and providing high quality work.
Thomas started learning his craft in a small independent jewellers in South West London, where he was for over 6 years. Whilst being in this environment, Thomas earned himself a place on the prestigious Goldsmith’s Centre Foundation Course, where only 10 students are selected each year in Europe. Thomas passed the course at a high standard and is officially recognised by the governing bodies, as a fully qualified goldsmith.
Whilst on this course Thomas was placed on work experience at Theo Fennell in their flagship workshop in Kensington. Whilst at Theo Fennell, Thomas learnt off of the finest goldsmiths in the industry and had the opportunity to have worked on their flagship ‘Bee’ collection.
Thomas has now ventured on his own to set up Thomas Skinner Jewellery. He looks to provide a high quality of work in many different sectors of the industry. Private commissions and restoration work is what Thomas specialises in. With this, he provides a personal service where he educates and liaises with clients to give them the finest information and make them a part of the journey.
